$100 Grocery Shop: Week 3/52

Despite that the increased carbon tax is already upon us, I managed to do an awesome grocery shop this week! All the boxes of Ritz crackers were just 99 cents each at Safeway.

Items I have that I’m working from:

Frozen chicken breasts
Chia Seeds
Rolled and quick Oats
Raw Peppers
Salsa
Chocolate Chips
Laughing Cow cheese
Rice
Potatoes
Onions
Can of chickpeas
Canned pumpkin

Everything above was purchased at Safeway and H&W Produce.

Not pictured:
2 cartons of ice cream
2 dozen eggs
2kg bag of white sugar

= $63.08

I have about $37 left to pick up some protein powder from Costco still, so you can see why I had to really shop around this time to make room for it. And yup – we’ll be baking our own bread again this week!

Friday Night Dinner: Frozen pizza & steamed veggies
(usually something easy so that I can leave and do all my shopping alone)

Saturday
Breakfast: Whole Wheat pancakes & eggs
Lunch: Sheet Pan Beef Nacho’s with homemade guacamole
Dinner: Whole Roasted Chicken with Potatoes/carrots/onions and frozen green beans

Sunday
Breakfast: Yogurt & homemade granola with Banana muffins
Lunch: Leftover Roasted Chicken Dinner
Dinner: Hamburger Soup with Bread

Monday
Breakfast: Pumpkin Spice Overnight Oats(S)/Carrot Spice muffins & mini omelettes
Lunch: Chickpea salad and chicken breast(S)/Chicken Sandwiches & raw veggies
Dinner: Leftover Hamburger Soup & bread

Tuesday
Breakfast: Pumpkin Spice Overnight Oats(S)/Carrot Spice muffins & mini omelettes
Lunch: Chickpea salad and chicken breast(S)/Leftover Hamburger Soup
Dinner: Chicken Stir fry with rice

Wednesday
Breakfast: Pumpkin Spice Overnight Oats(S)/Carrot Spice muffins & mini omelettes
Lunch: Chickpea salad and chicken breast(S)/Leftover Curry chicken
Dinner: Lean Beef Burgers with roasted potatoes and salad

Thursday
Breakfast: Pumpkin Spice Overnight Oats(S)/Carrot Spice muffins & mini omelettes
Lunch: Chickpea salad and chicken breast(S)/Leftover Coconut Chicken Curry
Dinner: Leftover Chicken Stirfry & Rice

Friday
Breakfast: Pumpkin Spice Overnight Oats(S)/Carrot Spice muffins & mini omelettes
Lunch: Chickpea salad and chicken breast(S) & leftover stirfry
Dinner: TBA
